What's up guys, Here at JG when using The Comfort Zone fundamentals of starting colts. When we are working on transitioning to the saddle we want to make sure they are giving to the flection while maintaining forward motion at the walk.
* We want to keep her going forward until you get no resistance. If there is resistance or hesitation but she seems confident and not scared then you can keep pressure and not release and once she goes forward and the release is there reward her!
* We want her to walk and be able to pull her in full flexion both directions without losing forward motion and have no resistance.
* Repeat, Release and Reward
* Don't mistake the spin - it is a forward motion maneuver.
* She should be giving to pressure and following her nose.
